Sara Ali Khan to play role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta in 'Aye Watan…Mere Watan'
Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, who made her debut with the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer 'Kedarnath', has made a significant place in the Bollywood industry. In the meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is all set to play the role of Usha Mehta in Karan Johar's 'Aye Watan Mere Watan'.
After the 2018-film 'Kedarnath', Sara Ali Khan was seen in Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba. Later in 2020, Sara was seen in 'Love Aaj Kal' and 'Coolie No. 1', however, both the films were not able to leave an impact on the box office.

In 2021, Sara Ali Khan did Atrangi Re, which was released on Disney Plus Hotstar. Sara bagged a lot of appreciation for the same and proved that she was here to stay.

Perhaps, Sara is in mood to leave an impact yet again. Now, it seems like Sara is all set to leave a mark with her upcoming film.
As per the report, Sara's next film, 'Aye Watan Mere Watan', is all set to go on floors in September 2022. Sara Ali Khan will be essaying the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta.

'Aye Watan Mere Watan' will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. The film is said to premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video.
The film will be directed by Kannan Iyer, who also helmed 'Ek Thi Daayan' (2013), while the script is written by Darab Farooqui.
