Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team issues apology for airing incorrect fact on Lata Mangeshkar's song

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: For years, Dilip Joshi, Shailesh Lodha, and others star in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been entertaining the audience. The sitcom is noted for carrying out social messages through the tale along with its comedy. However, the show lately got a lot of controversy for airing wring historical facts about Lata Mangeshkar's song 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon'.

The TMKOC crew said in yesterday's programme that the patriotic song 'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon' was released in 1965. However, as it was released in 1963, the information was wrong. Many viewers reacted negatively to the episode as soon as it aired, accusing it of disseminating false information.

When the producers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah realised their mistake, they apologised on Twitter and issued an apology. Their tweet read, “We would like to apologize to our viewers, fans and well-wishers. In today’s episode, we inadvertently mentioned 1965 as the year of release of song “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon.”

“However, we would like to correct ourselves. The song was released on 26th Jan, 1963. We promise to be mindful in the future. We appreciate your support and love - Asit Modi and Team Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," the statement read further.

The first episode of TMKOC aired in 2008, and it has been running successfully for nearly 13 years. In November of last year, the show aired 3300 episodes.
