The film is set to commence shooting on August 8 in Bengaluru, as confirmed by the PR team of the 'Toxic' project.
In the days leading up to the start of production, Yash took a spiritual pause to seek blessings at several revered temples in Karnataka, including the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmastala, and Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya. His spiritual sojourn underscores the significance of the project in his career.
Directed by the acclaimed Geetu Mohandas, 'Toxic' promises to be an action-packed thriller set against the backdrop of the drug mafia. Geetu Mohandas is expected to bring a unique narrative style to the film, amplifying its appeal.
Recent media speculation has suggested that Tara Sutaria will star as the second female lead opposite Yash. However, Tara Sutaria addressed these rumours with a cryptic Instagram post in July, dismissing the reports as false. She clarified, "The articles released over the last few days about a project and I are false and not shared by me." She assured her followers, "Whenever there is something to share, I will share it with all of you! My love always. PS - Nobody is second to anyone."

The film, slated for a grand release on April 10, 2025, continues to generate buzz, with previous rumours hinting at Kareena Kapoor Khan's involvement. However, no official confirmation about the female cast has been made yet.
