'Tomorrow is an important occasion for me with two special landmarks' says Superstar Rajinikanth a day before being honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award

On October 24th, Rajinikanth took to his social accounts to expressed his delight for receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award on October 25th.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced in April 2021 that Superstar Rajinikanth had been awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to Indian cinema over the past four decades. Despite the fact that the announcement was made in April, the award ceremony was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Twitter a day before receiving the award, he referred to it as one of "two special landmarks," the other being his daughter Soundarya Vishagan's new app, Hoote, which will be released tomorrow. Rajinikanth stated in his statement, "Tomorrow is an important occasion for me with two special landmarks. One, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, being conferred upon me by the Government of India because of the love and support of the people."

He further explained the second reason of him being happy and wrote, “Second, my daughter Soundarya Vishagan, by her Independent efforts has pioneered the making of a very useful app for people called HOOTE and she is going to introduce it to the world from India. People can now express through their voice their thoughts, wishes and ideas just like they do in writing in any language of their choice. I am very happy to launch this innovative, useful and the first of its kind the HOOTE APP in my voice.”

Rajinikanth has won four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in addition to the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. In 2000, he received the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, and in 2016, he received the Padma Vibhushan award.
