Yes, you read it correctly. Sara Ali Khan is coming up with her upcoming movie 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' which was officially announced by her 'buddy' Varun Dhawan.

To note, 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead role, and the makers chose Varun Dhawan to introduce the film.

At the beginning of the video, Varun Dhawan starts off with a jovial mood by introducing the "wonderful, beautiful" Sara Ali Khan and the "square root of Amrita Singh" as the star of the movie. Likewise, he flips to Sara's well-known slam poetry style, starting with "Namaste Darshakon."
In addition, Varun revealed that Sara Ali Khan will play a brave, lion-hearted freedom fighter in a fictional story set against the backdrop of the 1942 'Quit India Movement'.
The movie is written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer. 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' is being made by Dharmatic Entertainment and is being bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.
As per reports, the film will begin its production soon and will be helmed by Kannan Iyer.
