Vicky Kaushal begins filming Sam Bahadur: After the success of the film 'Raazi', Vicky Kaushal is all set to work with Meghna Gulzar again. The two have announced their new film 'Sam Bahadur', which is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
For the unversed, he was one of India's greatest war heroes. He was the Chief of the Indian Army when India battled Pakistan in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Recently, the team started filming, as announced by Vicky Kaushal in a video.
The video clip begins with Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra reading their scripts. Then, it further introduced other crew and cast working and planning things for the shoot.
Vicky Kaushal is playing the titular role in the biographical film while Sanya Malhotra is portraying Manekshaw's wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh is essaying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Earlier in 2021, on the occasion of Sam Manekshaw's birthday, Vicky Kaushal had first announced the film along with a picture dressed as Sam Manekshaw.
In addition to 'Sam Bahadur', Vicky Kaushal is engaged in a wide range of other projects. He will be seen in 'Govinda Naam Mera', alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. He will also make an appearance in 'The Great Indian Family' and the untitled sequel to 'Laxman Utekar'. In the latter, he will appear alongside Sara Ali Khan.
