Boycott 'Laal Singh Chaddha': Ahead of the theatrical release of Aamir Khan-starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha’, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about ‘cancel culture’ in the Bollywood industry.
Notably, the netizens have been calling for a boycott of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Kareena Kapoor Khan asserted that people have opinions and that she believes that a good film can outshine anything.
It is pertinent to mention that 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is an official Hindi remake of Hollywood-hit 'Forrest Gump'.
However, the film has been receiving a backlash on social media for Aamir Khan’s comments on India that he made a few years ago. In the meanwhile, Kareena has given an opinion on 'cancel culture'.
This comes after Aamir Khan requested, “Please, don't boycott my film. Please watch my film'. Talking about the perspective of audience, these days, towards movies, Kareena Kapoor agreed that people tend to have opinions about everything.
While talking to India Today, she said everyone has a voice and there are so many platforms where they share their opinion.
"So now, if that is going to be there, then you have to learn to ignore certain things," she said, adding that "Otherwise, it will just become impossible to live your life. And that's why I don't take any of this like seriously.”
"If it's a good film, I believe that it will surpass anything, pretty much, the response will be good. I think that good films will surpass anything,” she added.
