Zoya Akhtar reveals how Priyanka Chopra helped rope in Alia Bhatt and Katrina in 'Jee Le Zaraa'

Bollywood has seen numerous films which highlight guy-friendships and bindings. But for the very first time, we are about to witness a film based on female friendships and that too specifically a road trip-based film.

Farhan Akhtar who is all set to return on the director's chair with the upcoming movie 'Jee Le Zaraa' is the film we are talking about here. The film was announced earlier this year which surely made everyone ecstatic for the idea and the concept behind it.

Jee Le Zaraa stars Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. The leading ladies are surely going to make everyone stick with the screens with the forthcoming film.

As the excitement continues for the film, recently in an interview Zoya Akhtar spiled the beans how the leading ladies were roped in for 'Jee Le Zaraa'.

Zoya Akhtar states that "it was 'serendipity' as Farhan had the idea in his mind and independently I was contacted by the actresses not knowing about Farhan by any chance. She further revealed that Priyanka had called Alia and Katrina to work on something like this (girl-road trip) film. So it just aligned."

As per Zoya Akhtar, she stated that Priyanka has already talked with Alia Bhatt and Katrina to have a movie together based on a road trip and they didn't have any idea that Farhan was thinking to direct such a story. So, when Alia and Katrina reached Zoya to talk about the same everything automatically aligned and they are here to deliver the much-awaited film 'Jee Le Zara'.

"When it comes to Priyanka, Alia, and Katrina, "The three of them are massive. They're just fantastic. They're really large. What I like about them is how distinct their personalities are. Nobody else compares." Zoya added while talking about the leading ladies.
