66th National Film Awards 2019: Team ‘Harjeeta’ Wins Big For ‘Best Punjabi Film’, and ‘Best Child Artist’

Punjabi industry has been touching new heights with all the milestones it is achieving by the end of this year. Another great news for Punjabi audience is that the film, ‘Harjeeta’ which didn’t do great at the box office has finally been awarded with the National Film awards at the 66th award ceremony in Delhi.

It was announced in August that the film will win the title of ‘Best Punjabi Film’ and child artist Smeep Ranaut, will be awarded with the best child artist at the ceremony.

Punjabi producer and distributor Munish Sahni was seen receiving the award for ‘Harjeeta’ from Vice President Venkaish Naidu on the behalf of the whole team for making it the best Punjabi film. Meanwhile, Sameep also lifted the trophy of best child artist at the ceremony as he made his debut with the same film.

Later on, Director Vijay Kumar Arora was also honored with Rajat Kamal Award for his direction of the sports drama.

Celebs from Punjabi industry took down to their Instagram handle to congratulate the team of ‘Harjeeta’ and the winners for bringing the trophy of National film awards.

‘Harjeeta’ is the biopic of Harjeet Singh, a well known hockey player who has got gold medal in the hockey world cup for India. Ammy Virk essayed the role of Harjeet Singh in the film.
