Ahead of the announcement, Union Minister Anurag Thakur stated that the 68th National Film award jury has submitted the report.

The Jury has done a very good job, he said, adding that India is the biggest filmmaker in the world and gives a lot of opportunities to budding artists, and creates high employment in the country.
