'Deep level of insecurities in male actors': Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar on South actors ruling all-India popularity list

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Samantha Prabhu graced the latest episode of Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan season 7.

During the talk show, Karan Johar told Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu that they had topped a recent popularity survey. Samantha remained on the top of the list of All-India most popular actresses, Akshay Kumar was the only Bollywood actor on the list at fifth position in the All India list.

To this, Karan asked about how both of them felt. Samantha jokingly claimed that she paid someone to reserve the number one spot for her while Akshay said that all actors need to work hard.

He also said that Hindi actors are generally insecure about doing two-hero films and prefer doing single-hero films. Akshay said he insisted on actors doing multi-hero films which Akshay and Karan are co-producing. However, the actors tend to avoid it.

Likewise, Karan Johar also agreed that there is a deep insecurity among the male actors doing multi-heroes films.
