Dev Anand's son Suneil Anand dies at 70 after heart attack in London
Suneil Anand, son of legendary actor Dev Anand, passed away at the age of 70 after suffering a heart attack in London.
Legendary Hindi cinema actor Dev Anand's son, Suneil Anand, passed away on Tuesday in London at the age of 70. The sad news was confirmed by his family through a statement shared by his niece, Gina Narang.

According to the family, Suneil Anand was travelling from the United States to India through the United Kingdom when he suffered a heart attack. He was immediately taken to a hospital in London, where doctors began his treatment.
After examining him, doctors planned to perform a stent procedure to restore blood flow to his heart. However, before the surgery could be carried out, Suneil Anand suffered a second heart attack. Despite the doctors' best efforts, they were unable to save him. In a heartbreaking coincidence, he passed away at the same hospital where his father, Dev Anand, had died years earlier.
The family thanked everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time. In the statement, Gina Narang said the family was deeply saddened by the loss and requested privacy as they mourned Suneil Anand's passing.
Suneil Anand had celebrated his 70th birthday on June 30. He was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1956 and belonged to one of Bollywood's most respected film families. His father, Dev Anand, was one of the biggest stars in Hindi cinema, while his mother, Kalpana Kartik, was also a well-known actress. His uncles, Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand, were celebrated filmmakers, and director Shekhar Kapur is also part of the Anand family.

Before joining the film industry, Suneil Anand earned a degree in Business Administration from the American University in Washington, DC. He later worked with his father on several films before making his acting debut in Anand Aur Anand in 1984, a film directed by Dev Anand. He also acted in Car Thief, Main Tere Liye, and Master.
Although Suneil Anand did not enjoy the same level of success as his legendary father, he remained closely connected to the film industry throughout his life. His passing is a sad loss for the Anand family and for those who admired one of Hindi cinema's most iconic film legacies.
