He is also expected to undergo surgery after suffering multiple tears in his right hand while working on Peddi. The break will give him enough time to recover completely and prepare for his next big role.
The making of Peddi was physically demanding for Ram Charan. The actor reportedly battled several injuries throughout the shoot but continued filming after recovering each time. To convincingly play the lead character, who is both a wrestler and a cricketer-for-hire, he underwent a major physical transformation and adopted the look of a professional athlete.
The timing of this break also fits well with the schedule of his upcoming film with Sukumar. Although the director has finalized the story, he is still working on the screenplay and dialogues, a process for which he is well known to take his time. As a result, the film is now expected to begin production early next year.
