On Thursday, September 10, 2026, the Delhi High Court heard Salman Khan’s plea seeking to stop the release of the film, which is reportedly based on his life and the blackbuck poaching case.
During the hearing, Justice Jyoti Singh recorded a statement from the film’s producer, Amit Jani. The producer’s side told the court that the film is currently not ready for release because it has not yet received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Film Cannot Be Released Before September 30The court was also informed that the movie has not yet been sent to the censor board for certification. The makers have also not released the film’s trailer.
Salman Khan’s lawyers argued that the filmmakers had earlier been indicating that the movie would arrive in September. They told the court that releasing the film could cause “immense harm” to the actor.
Following the hearing, the court directed Amit Jani to file his response within two weeks. The case will be heard again on September 30, 2026. Importantly, Salman Khan’s legal team has said that the film cannot be released in theatres or on OTT before the next hearing.

He clarified that until that date, the movie cannot be released in theatres or on an OTT platform. The defendants have also been asked to submit their reply before the next hearing.
The court has additionally directed the producer’s counsel to inform it on September 14 about the proposed release date of the film.
