Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage row takes a new turn as the actor’s manager Shashi Sinha dismisses Sunita’s claim about Govinda’s alleged second marriage plans with Komal Rani.
The latest development in the ongoing Govinda-Sunita Ahuja marriage matter has come after Sunita Ahuja claimed that the actor was planning to marry his rumoured girlfriend Komal Rani. Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha has dismissed the claim, saying there is no plan for the actor to enter a second marriage.
Sinha said he was surprised to hear Sunita’s statement and maintained that Govinda has no intention of marrying again. He also said that if Govinda wanted to end his marriage, he would have taken steps for divorce himself.
Sunita Ahuja’s ClaimSunita’s statement surfaced during a phone conversation with Rakhi Sawant that was later seen in a social media video. While discussing her decision to withdraw the divorce petition, Sunita said she had stayed quiet about problems in her marriage for several years.
She also recalled seeing Govinda and Komal Rani together at an airport and said the incident had deeply hurt her. Sunita then claimed that the two were planning to get married, which she said was one of the reasons behind her decision to take action in the marriage.
Divorce Petition Was WithdrawnSunita had filed for divorce from Govinda on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. The petition reportedly cited adultery, cruelty and desertion as grounds.
The couple, who have been married for nearly four decades, later saw a change in the situation when Sunita withdrew the divorce petition. Govinda’s manager confirmed the withdrawal after Sunita was seen visiting a family court in Mumbai with their son Yashvardhan Ahuja.
Manager Says Govinda Is Focused On WorkSinha further defended Govinda, describing him as a responsible family man who would not deliberately take a step that could negatively affect his family. He said Govinda has never publicly spoken against Sunita and has only tried to make her understand the possible consequences of certain public statements.
He also reiterated that there has never been any discussion about Govinda getting married for a second time. According to Sinha, the actor is currently concentrating on his professional commitments, while hopes remain that the couple can resolve their differences.
