Indian cricket legend Harbhajan Singh was the guest of honour at the grand launch of the JITO Premier League (JPL) 2026 on August 16, 2026. The event was held at Pavilion 2 of the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The launch included the unveiling of the official JPL trophy and team jerseys, marking the beginning of a new season of the tournament.

Known as “The Turbanator”, Harbhajan Singh brought excitement and energy to the event. He interacted with fans and players and was part of the special trophy and jersey unveiling ceremony. What Is JITO Premier League?

The JITO Premier League, or JPL, is a cricket tournament that brings together members of the JITO community through the sport. The league focuses on cricket, teamwork, competition and community bonding. The 2026 season will feature 12 franchise teams, divided into two groups. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 24 to September 5, 2026, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

12 Teams Ready for JPL 2026

The 12 teams have been divided into Group A and Group B. Group A includes SLJ Royals Hyderabad, Pagariya Strikers Maharashtra, Mumbai SOBO Star, Bangalore Blaster, Rajasthan Rajvansh and Golden Eagles Delhi. Group B features Mumbai King's, Pune Peshwas, Indore Hawks, Chennai Striker Kings, Gujarat Gladiators and RDB Monarch Bengal Indians. With different franchises competing against each other, the tournament promises plenty of cricketing action and team rivalry.
