Veteran Malayalam actor C. Rajashekharan Nair has passed away, bringing an end to a long and successful journey in the film industry. A native of Chingavanam in Kottayam, he was known for his memorable supporting roles in Malayalam films. His funeral will be held at 2 PM on June 13th at his family home in Chingavanam.

A native of Chingavanam in Kottayam, he was known for his memorable supporting roles in Malayalam films. His funeral will be held at 2 PM on June 13th, at his family home in Chingavanam.

Career Spanning Over 500 Films

Rajashekharan Nair started acting in the 1980s and went on to appear in more than 500 Malayalam movies. He worked with leading directors such as Joshiy and Thampi Kannanthanam. Some of his best-known films include Rajavinte Makan, Sandarbham, Mudra, Nair Saab, Vazhiyorakkazchakal, Sethurama Iyer CBI, No. 20 Madras Mail, and Thappana.

Popularly Known as 'SI Rajashekharan'

The actor became famous for playing the role of a Sub-Inspector in many films. His performances were so convincing that people in the Malayalam film industry began calling him "SI Rajashekharan." Even though he mostly played supporting characters, he impressed audiences with his natural acting and strong screen presence.

Work Beyond the Big Screen

Apart from movies, Rajashekharan Nair was also active on television. He acted in several Malayalam TV serials and earned appreciation from viewers. His final film appearance was in Oru Second Class Yathra, released in 2015.

Family and Final Goodbye

Rajashekharan Nair is survived by his wife, Ajithakumari, and his two daughters, Anusha Deepu, who lives in Dubai, and Archana Rajashekharan Nair, who lives in Abu Dhabi. His son-in-law, S. Deepu, also lives in Dubai.

Mammootty and Fans Pay Tribute

Following the news of his death, members of the Malayalam film industry and fans shared heartfelt tributes on social media. Superstar Mammootty was among the first to honour the late actor. Sharing his photograph, Mammootty wrote, "Tributes to actor SI Rajasekharan."
