Dhurandhar 2 OTT release creates buzz in Pakistan: Dhurandhar The Revenge has become one of the biggest success stories in recent Indian cinema. After rewriting box office records and enjoying a massive theatrical run, the spy thriller has now created a huge impact on OTT platforms as well. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, the film has managed to keep its popularity alive months after its theatrical release. Its strong fan following and action-packed storytelling have helped the franchise build a loyal audience not only in India but also internationally.

Pakistan OTT Release Creates Massive Buzz

The film recently premiered on Netflix Pakistan on May 14 and immediately became the talk of social media. Interestingly, despite reports of restrictions and controversy around the film in Pakistan, viewers were eagerly waiting for its digital release. According to Pakistani content creator Maviya Umer Farooqui, Netflix allegedly faced server issues within minutes of the film dropping online because thousands of people tried to stream it at the same time.


In a viral Instagram video, Farooqui claimed that audiences stayed awake till midnight just to watch the film as soon as it released. He even showed repeated buffering and interruptions during playback, saying that his Wi-Fi connection was working properly and the issue appeared to be from Netflix’s side due to heavy traffic.

Curiosity Around Ranveer Singh’s Character

Farooqui also explained why Pakistani viewers were so interested in the film. He said that audiences wanted to see how the makers had presented the story and especially how Ranveer Singh portrayed his intense character in the movie. The content creator added that whether the events shown in the film were completely true or fictional was a separate debate, but people were curious to watch the film for themselves and understand the hype surrounding it.

The craze became even more visible when Dhurandhar 2 reportedly reached the number one trending spot on Netflix Pakistan shortly after its release.

Strong Franchise With Star-Studded Cast

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar franchise has emerged as one of the most talked-about action series in recent years. The first film released in theatres on December 5, 2025, while Dhurandhar 2 arrived on March 19 this year. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the films also feature Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and several other actors in important roles.

The franchise is now set for another major digital release, as Dhurandhar: The Revenge will premiere on JioHotstar on June 4, 2026. With its growing popularity across countries and strong OTT response, the film continues to prove that the Dhurandhar wave is far from over.
