"No One Can Take Bhalla Sahib's Place"

The actor revealed that he has worked with Jaswinder Bhalla since Mera Dil Lutteya and has shared countless memorable moments with him in films like Lucky Di Unlucky Story and the Carry On Jatta series. "We have spent so many years together that our relationship became like family. His place can never be filled," he shared.

The team admitted that while filming Carry On Jatta 4, there were moments when another actor would stand in for Bhalla Sahib during rehearsals. Whenever someone improvised a funny line, everyone would stop and wonder how Bhalla Sahib would have responded.

"The entire team would sit together and discuss what he would say or how he would deliver the punchline. We wanted everything to feel just like him."

Team Wanted to Keep the Surprise Alive

Gippy Grewal also spoke about the film's trailer and revealed that the makers intentionally didn't show too much of Jaswinder Bhalla. According to him, everyone already knows that Bhalla Sahib is part of the film, so the team wanted audiences to experience the biggest surprise on the big screen instead of revealing everything in the trailer.

"The less we show, the more excited people will be to watch the movie in theatres."

Comedy Genius Who Made Every Scene Better

The conversation also highlighted Jaswinder Bhalla's incredible talent. Gippy Grewal recalled that Bhalla Sahib would arrive on set with only one question: "Where is the scene?" If the script wasn't ready, he could create new jokes and punchlines within minutes. But instead of insisting on his own ideas, he would discuss them with the entire cast and ask, "What if we do it this way?" This collaborative approach became a tradition on every Carry On Jatta film.

Why Carry On Jatta Is Different

One of the biggest reasons behind the franchise's success, according to the cast, is its family-like atmosphere. Every actor contributes ideas to improve a scene, even if it means someone else gets the funniest dialogue. The only goal is to make the audience laugh.
