Global music star Guru Randhawa has released his latest single, 'Six', marking a new chapter in his musical journey. Released on July 15 across all major streaming platforms, the song sees the singer stepping away from his signature Punjabi pop style and embracing a powerful Punjabi hip-hop sound.

Known for delivering chartbusters over the years, Guru now explores a different musical direction while staying connected to his Punjabi roots. The track combines traditional Punjabi lyrics with modern hip-hop beats, heavy basslines and fast-paced rhythms, creating a fresh and energetic listening experience.

Successful reunion with Kiran Bajwa

'Six' also brings Guru Randhawa back together with his long-time collaborator, Punjabi singer Kiran Bajwa. The duo has previously delivered popular songs like 'Sirra' from the album Without Prejudice and 'SHKINI', earning praise for their strong musical chemistry.

Guru Randhawa opens up about the new musical direction

Sharing his excitement about the release, Guru Randhawa said,

“I’ve always loved hip-hop culture, but I wanted to blend it authentically with our native Punjabi vibe. ‘SIX’ is about hitting it out of the park. It’s about the grind, the focus and the mindset it takes to stay at the top. Having Kiran Bajwa back on a track with me made this sonic shift feel natural. We’ve built a specific musical trust and this track represents the next step in our collaborative journey."

Song about ambition and victory

The lyrics of 'Six' celebrate confidence, determination and success. The title carries a double meaning-it refers to hitting a six in cricket while also symbolising reaching a higher level of achievement.

The song focuses on overcoming challenges, ignoring distractions and staying committed to one's goals. With its motivational message, 'Six' aims to connect with listeners who are chasing success in their own lives.

Kiran Bajwa shares her thoughts

Kiran Bajwa believes the song highlights a different side of Guru Randhawa while maintaining the energy that fans enjoy from their collaborations.

She said,

"When Guru Randhawa and I first started working on the concept for 'SIX,' we knew we wanted something that felt both gritty and triumphant. Our past collaborations were about lifestyle and energy, but this one is about pure drive. It’s a side of Guru his fans haven't seen before and it’s meant for anyone out there who is winning."

Cinematic visuals add to the experience

Along with the song, the makers have also released a stylish music video featuring a sleek neo-noir look. The visuals mix luxury fashion with urban street style and performance-driven sequences, matching the intensity and energy of the track.

Released by Warner Music India, 'Six' is now streaming worldwide across all major music platforms, offering fans a fresh glimpse into Guru Randhawa's evolving musical journey.
