According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Animal' raked in an outstanding Rs 63.80 crore on its opening day across all languages. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy considering it was a non-holiday release, lacked the support of a film franchise, featured no superstar cameos, carried an 'Adults' certificate, and had a runtime exceeding three hours. Despite these challenges, the film surpassed expectations, securing the title of the biggest opener for both an 'Adults' certified film and Ranbir Kapoor.
In the Hindi version alone, 'Animal' amassed an impressive Rs 54.75 crore on the first day, as reported by Taran Adarsh. This marked a career-best opening for Ranbir Kapoor. The clash with 'Sam Bahadur' didn't deter the film's success, proving its mettle at the box office.
