Early life of Samantha

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was born on April 28, 1987 in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The young Samantha was born into a family of a Telegu father and a Malayali mother. For schooling, Sam went to Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and later on pursued bachelors in commerce from Stella Maris College, Chennai. Along with her graduation, she also started taking part in modelling and fashion shows. 


Filmy Career

Samantha landed into films and entertainment in 2010 and made her first Telegu debut through Gautham Vasudev Menon's creation 'Maya Chesave', which was also simaltaneously made in Tamil. Samantha was then seen in a romantic drama, 'Bana Kaathadi' in 2010. Her Next release was 2010's 'Moscowin Kavery' made by Ravi Varman. Eventually she started grabbing an utter fame and success through numerous films that includes 'Dookudu'(2012), 'Eega'(2012), 'Jabardast'(2013) 'Kadal'(2013), 'Manam'(2014), 'Rabhasa'(2014), 'I'(2015), 'Bangalore Naatkal'(2016), 'A Aa'(2016), 'Rangasthalam'(2018), 'Mahanati'(2018) including some other big roles in the intial years.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a familiar name in the list of achievers. The recipient of several accolades, Samantha won many awards including four Filmfare Awards South, two State Nandi Awards of Andhra Pradesh, three CineMAA Awards, One Filmfare OTT including four South Indian International Movie Awards.

On the Workfront, Samantha was last seen in the period drama of Gunasekhar's 'Shakuntalam' that was released in 14 april, 2023.
