Bollywood movie sequels to be released in 2022: From Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to Gadar 2; here's a complete list

Every year, a large number of films, both regional and national, are released. Several films have already made headlines with their announcements for the year 2022, and moviegoers can't wait to see movies on the big screen once more.

The year 2022 also heralds a slew of sequels to previously released blockbusters. Here is a list of all the movies whose sequels are set to be released this year, and which will entice audiences to revisit them.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Following in the footsteps of Priyadarshan, Anees Bazmee will direct Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the sequel to the 2007 smash horror comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Kartik Aaryan plays the lead in this film, which also stars Tabu and Kiara Advani. In March, it is supposed to arrive.

Ek Villain Returns

After the box office success of Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor's 2014 romantic thriller Ek Villain, director Mohit Suri is bringing the series back with a fresh ensemble in Ek Villain Returns. The thriller will be released in July and stars Disha Patani, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria, and Arjun Kapoor.

Badhaai Do

Badhaai Ho, a 2018 comedy starring Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sanya Malhotra, was a sleeper smash, and the franchise is currently being continued with this new film. Harshavardhan Kulkarni helms the film Badhaai Do. Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will star in the upcoming film, which will hit theatres in February.

Heropanti 2

Tiger Shroff made his acting debut in Heropanti (2014), and he will make his return in Heropanti 2 to continue the series. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria also star in the romantic action flick directed by Ahmed Khan. It will be released in theatres in April, according to the current plan.

Gadar 2

One of the most loved films 'Gadar' which was released in 2001 is all set to bring back Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete together on the silver screens. After numerous denials finally the makers of the blockbuster film 'Gadar' are back with its second installment. Sunny Deol as Tara Singh, Ameesha Patel as Sakeena and Utkarsh Sharma as Jeeta is currently working for the film's production phase and soon it will be released in the theaters.
