Ayushmann Khurrana’s Mupapa release date: YRF and Posham Pa Pictures’ First Theatrical Collaboration

Ayushmann Khurrana is set to headline Mupapa, the first theatrical collaboration between Yash Raj Films (YRF) and Posham Pa Pictures. The much-anticipated film is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on February 19, 2027, marking the beginning of a creative partnership between two of the industry's most innovative production houses.

Produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani, Mupapa is his second feature as a producer following the blockbuster romantic drama Saiyaara, which emerged as the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Indian cinema. The film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker and showrunner Sameer Saxena, known for his distinctive storytelling and genre-defying projects.

According to a YRF spokesperson, Mupapa promises to be a genre-bending theatrical spectacle that will offer audiences a fresh and immersive cinematic experience. The film aims to push the boundaries of mainstream entertainment with a unique visual style and edge-of-the-seat storytelling.

The collaboration between YRF and Posham Pa Pictures reflects a shared vision to create disruptive and engaging theatrical experiences for contemporary audiences. Mupapa will be the first in a series of films jointly produced by the two banners, combining YRF’s scale and legacy with Posham Pa Pictures’ reputation for innovative, content-driven storytelling.

The partnership also aligns with YRF Chairman Aditya Chopra’s vision of expanding the studio’s creative business model under the leadership of CEO Akshaye Widhani, who is strategically strengthening YRF’s studio-driven production slate.
