Cannes Film Festival 2022 Red Carpet: Rajasthani singer Mame Khan on Tuesday scripted history as he became the first folk artist to open Red Carpet for India at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
Who is Mame Khan?
Mame Khan has been a playback singer for several Bollywood films such as ‘Luck By Chance’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, and ‘Sonchiriya’ among the others. Also, the Rajasthani singer has been featured on Coke Studio along with Amit Trivedi.

On Cannes Film Festival 2022’s red carpet, Mame Khan was seen dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, including a vibrant pink Kurta underneath an ethnic embroidered coat.

Led by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, the Indian delegation includes Shekhar Kapur, Pooja Hegde, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannah Bhatia, R Madhavan, AR Rahman, Prasoon Joshi, Vani Tripathi, and Ricky Kej.

The India Pavilion at the 75th Cannes Film Festival will be inaugurated by Union Minister Anurag Thakur. The universal theme for 2022 Cannes is India the content hub of the world.

Earlier on Tuesday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya were warmly welcomed at the French Riviera ahead of Cannes 2022.
Likewise, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone made the whole nation proud as she took over the stage as a jury member of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
