Recently, Rampal opened up about the emotional aftermath of his divorce during an appearance on The Ranveer Show. In a candid conversation, he reflected on the decisions and mistakes that led to the end of his marriage, providing a rare glimpse into his personal struggles and growth.
Early Marriage and Regrets
Rampal married Mehr Jesia in 1998. Reflecting on this significant life decision, he admitted to Ranveer that he may have married too early. “You cannot blame just one person for a relationship breaking down,” Rampal stated. “It is important to reflect on the mistakes that were made. When you close everything off and think about yourself, you will notice many flaws in yourself. You will also become aware of the other person's flaws. But for the sake of the relationship, you have to make everything right.”
He expressed regret about his early entry into marriage, revealing, “The ages of 20-30 are too young for marriage. I married at 24, which was quite premature. Men tend to mature more slowly than women, and it has been shown that we men can be quite foolish.”
Assuming Responsibility
Rampal openly took responsibility for the dissolution of his marriage, acknowledging the difficulties it posed, particularly for their children. “Divorcing Mehr was incredibly challenging, particularly because of its impact on our children,” he admitted. Despite their separation, Rampal remains closely involved with his daughters, often sharing moments from their lives on social media.
Present Life and New Beginnings
Currently, Rampal is in a relationship with Gabriella, a model 14 years his junior. The couple, who share two children, have chosen to live together without formal marriage. Rampal’s relationship with Gabriella represents a new chapter in his life, one where he continues to balance personal happiness with his responsibilities as a father.
