Karan Johar on current Bollywood trend; Creates buzz as he says, "Box Office hai Bhaiya, Instagram reel nahi"

Karan Johar is one of the most accomplished filmmaker aka producer of the Hindi movie industry who has served his mesmerizing masterpieces over the past decadances. Apart from having a lavish lifestyle behind the films, he is also known for having a glittery presence on social media. The Dharma producer is in-fact known for some fun, realistic content on Instagram. With a candid Instagrmmable life, he has recently sparked buzz within the industry as he shared a cryptic note referring about the current Bollywood trend in the industry. 

Karan Johar talks about current Bollywood trends

On 4th April, 2024, KJo has taken over his Instagram handle to share his views on the current Bollywood trend. Sharing his note on his IG stories, he took a subtly cruel dig on the filmmakers regarding following the Bollywood trends while crocheting a movie. His note said, "Bada scale chahiye toh wo banaao. Action chali. Action banaao! Love story chali toh love story banaao! Chick flick hit hui toh wahan jaao! Mausam har hafte badalta hai… conviction har hafte marta hai! Box office hai bhaiya, Instagram reel nahi… 30 second ki trending mein reh jaaoge wahin ke wahin!" While it was enough to become the controversy alone, people are now speculating whether his views were directed towards someone or if they were generic.

In-fact, it is not the first time the director is oozing the Internet people with such cryptic notes and views but he shares his opinions and POV's quite often. Previously, he led a questionable comparsion between loyalty and a Birkin that is known for it's rare exclusivity where he said, "Loyalty is like a Birkin… It has a long waiting list."
