Laila Majnu
Laila Majnu is a 2018 Hindi romantic drama directed by Sajid Ali, presented by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by acing directors Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali. The intense romantic drama was Tripti's firast doorway into Bollywood as a leading actress wherein she played the character of Laila alongside Avinash Tiwary as Qais. The movie revolves around the two lovers who are hindered of getting together due to the dramatic opposition by the two of their families. The movie ends with an intense ending where things gets out of the track and Laila marries an another man, leaving Qais all shattered and throbbing. The movie has grabbed positive acclamation for the plot, characterization and cinematography, although failed terribly at the global box office. Rated 7.7/10 on IMDb.
Bulbbul
Bulbbul is a 2020 horror mystery drama helmed by OTT giant Netflix. Directed by Anvita Dutt Guptan, the movie is led by Tripti Dimri as the titular role, wherein she takes off the film all on her bare shoulders. Meanwhile, Bulbbul is a character who gets married at young and traumatized while living under an extreme male dominated household where she is beaten to death but soon comes to seek vengeance as a 'Chudail' (Indian folklore spirit). The story depicts Bulbbul's tragic past that led her to become the one who goes on rogue in power and women supremacy. Rated 6.8/10 on IMDb.
Qala
Qala is an another Netflix creation! Released back in 2022, it is an intense psychological musical thriller that brings Tripti's acting prowess with gripping plot. Again led by Miss Dimri, it revolves around Tripti's journey as a musician who do's everything to win her mother's heart who did not liked her a bit. and when I say everything, I mean everything. But at the end, the guilt eats her up who goes mad with utter fame and success. It is an intense movie that won audience's heart in no time and Tripti led the movie like a queen. Directed by Anvita Dutt Guptan, the movie also features Babil Khan, Swastika Mukherjee, Anushka Sharma, Amit Sial. Rated 7.2/10 on IMDb.
