Jiya Shankar get's evicted just before the finale of Bigg Boss OTT season 2; Top 5 finalists revealed

One of the top 6 contestants of the Bigg Boss OTT season 2, Jiya Shankar gets evicted on Wednesday from the coveted house just days before the finale. The mid-week eviction of Jiya gave away the show's top 5 finalists who will be competing while fighting for the aspiring trophy.  The television actress walked out of the show after grabbing the least amount of votes, after getting eliminated for the mid-week eviction alongside 'chulbuli' Manisha Rani and Elvish Yadav.

Jiya's elimination 

Jiya's eviction took off her close ally Abhishek Malhan through an emotional shock and was also seen shedding tears and gave her a warm hug just before bidding goodbye to the ever-happening house. The revelation was made through a task of calendar of memories given to three of the contestants, which took place in the garden area of the house. As the name suggests, the calendar consisted photographs from the premiere night to it's finale week. Meanwhile, it was the last picture that will decide the contestant's fate. Bigg Boss announced, whosever picture shows up on it's last page, that contestant will have to leave the house acquiring least number of votes. Meanwhile Abhishek Malhan took the responsibility for turning up to it's last page and the calendar featured Jiya's photo.

The Top 5 

With the arrival of it's finale, the show is indeed coming up with lots of twist and turns. Before Jiya, Avinash Sachdev and Jad Hadid were evicted in a double elimination on the weekend-ka-vaar. Now, with the eviction of Jiya from the house, the fans have received their favorite five for the upcoming finale. Pooja Bhatt, Abhishek Malhan and Bebika Dhurve had already secured their spot for the finale previously, now the list added by Manisha Rani and Elvish Yadav, which has ultimately given it's top 5 contestants of the second season of the OTT house. Meanwhile, the grand finale is slatted to get premiere on August 14, 2023 and is to be live-streamed on Jio Cinema.
