Deepika Padukone reveals mother helped her during the depression: Deepika Padukone has always been vocal about her dealing with depression in the initial stage of her career. Recently, at an event, Deepika Padukone courageously discussed her experiences with depression and how she overcame them, by revealing her side of the story. She also motivated others by raising awareness about depression.
For the unversed, Deepika Padukone has also founded an NGO named 'Live Love Laugh'.
The 'Pathaan' actress spoke once again about her battle with depression and how her mother was the only one who could recognise the symptoms.
"I was at the peak of my career, and everything was going great, so there didn't seem to be a reason for why I was feeling the way I was, yet I would cry, and there were days when all I wanted to do was sleep because it was an escape. I dealt with all of that while occasionally considering suicide" stated Deepika Padukone.
She further said, "My parents are from Bangalore, and whenever they came to visit, I would often put on a brave face to show them that I was doing well. However, one day, as my parents were leaving to return to Bangalore, I had a breakdown. My mother questioned me about my hygiene, asking if it was a boyfriend, something at work, or something else.
