Meet Rhiya Ahir, the new contestant of Bigg Boss 20

Riya Ahir, reportedly 27, is associated with the fashion and entertainment industry. She is also linked with a clothing brand called Riyasat. Before the protest, she was not widely known for activism or student movements. However, one moment during a Mumbai protest changed that. A video showing Riya standing in front of a Mumbai Police van went viral on social media. In the video, police officers can be seen asking her to move aside, but she refuses to step away. Riya is now looking at a completely different platform Bigg Boss 20. In a new promo, Salman Khan introduces a special 'vardaan' where the audience gets to choose between Riya Ahir and Love Gill.

The contestant who receives the most votes will enter the Bigg Boss house on the premiere episode. Voting is being conducted through the JioHotstar app, with voting reportedly closing on September 2 at 11:59 PM.

The same concept was used in the previous season, when viewers had to choose between content creator Mridul Tiwari and Shehbaz Badesha. Mridul won the audience vote and entered the house during the premiere. Shehbaz later joined the show as a wildcard contestant. Now, viewers have a similar choice between Riya Ahir and Love Gill. For Riya, the journey from a viral protest video to the Bigg Boss 20 spotlight could mark a major new chapter in her public life. Whether she wins the audience vote and enters the house will now be decided by viewers.
