Neha Dhupia criticises paparazzi for taking ‘Back Shots,’ says ‘Stop It’
Actor Neha Dhupia recently expressed her anger at a public event in Mumbai over the way some paparazzi click photographs of celebrities. She strongly objected to photographers taking "back shots" without permission and called the practice disrespectful. Neha made it clear that such behaviour should stop immediately and reminded photographers that actors deserve the same respect they show to the media.
Neha Dhupia raises voice over 'backshots'
While speaking to the photographers, Neha firmly questioned who was taking such pictures and asked them to stop. She said that celebrities are tired of repeatedly requesting photographers not to take such uncomfortable and inappropriate photos. According to her, actors often cooperate by posing for pictures and speaking politely with the media, but they also expect photographers to respect their privacy and personal boundaries. Her comments came shortly after videos of her running on a track became viral on social media, bringing fresh attention to the issue of unwanted photography.
Other Celebrities Share Similar Concerns
Neha is not the only celebrity to speak against such behaviour. Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan have also criticised paparazzi for crossing personal limits. Their reactions highlight a growing concern among celebrities about privacy and respectful treatment in public spaces. Earlier this week, Sonakshi Sinha also requested photographers to stop filming her while leaving a restaurant in Mumbai with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, and her father, Shatrughan Sinha. Despite politely asking them to stop and wishing them good night, cameras continued recording as she walked to her car. Similarly, Salman Khan appeared upset by paparazzi behaviour during a visit to a hospital in May. Following the incident, members of the media reportedly apologised to him.
Call for Respect and Privacy
While celebrities understand public interest in their lives, they believe there should be clear limits when it comes to photography. Respectful interactions between actors and photographers can help maintain a healthy relationship between the entertainment industry and the media.
Neha Dhupia, who is married to actor Angad Bedi, continues to balance her professional life with her family. The couple are parents to their daughter, Mehr, and son, Guriq. Her strong stand has once again highlighted the need for dignity, consent, and mutual respect in celebrity-media interactions.
