The singham of Bollywood, Ajay Devgn, turns 50 today. He was born in Delhi to a Punjabi family, originally from Punjab, Amritsar. He has made his mark as an actor, producer, and director in the film industry over the years.

His family had connections with the Hindi film fraternity in Mumbai since his father is a stunt choreographer and an action film director, while his mother is a producer. Ajay Devgn graduated from the Silver Beach High School in Juhu and then studied at Mithibai College.

Personally, he shared a good relationship with actress Karisma Kapoor; however, it couldn't work out well. Later on, the actor married actress Kajol Mukherjee.

Phool Aur Kante

Phool Aur Kaante was his debut movie in 1991, which garnered fame to him. He was awarded with the Filmfare Award for best debut male actor for this.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh

The Legend of Bhagat Singh released in 2002, and Ajay played the role of Bhagat Singh. Ajay was awarded with National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for playing Bhagat Singh's role brilliantly.

Gangajal

Gangajal came in 2003, directed by Prakash Jha. The movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office collecting a gross amount of Rs. 142.5 Million.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai

Once Upon A Time in Mumbai was released in 2010, and was a box office success with positive critical response. The film earned Rs. 852 Million worldwide.

Singham

Singham released in 2011, directed by Rohit Shetty. The movie earned Rs. 150 Crore at the box office and was a blockbuster hit.
