This season of Bigg Boss appears to be incredibly intriguing, particularly in terms of the candidates. And, as is customary each year, we learn the price each candidate charges to be locked up in the house during the first week of the reality program. We have the details for this year as well, and I am rather startled to learn that the top costs on the show are quite substantial. Bigg Boss 15's highest-paid competitor is actor Jay Bhanushali, who joined the competition at the last minute. The TV actor is paid a hefty Rs 11 lakhs each week to participate in the show, according to a report in Bollywood Life.
Actress Tejasswi Prakash and singer Afsana Khan, who are reportedly paid Rs 10 lakhs per week on the Salman Khan-hosted reality program, join Jay at the top of the list. For a week on BB15, actor Karan Kundrra is paid a hefty Rs 8 lakhs, while Shamita Shetty is paid Rs 5 lakhs. Akasa Singh, a singer, earns about Rs 5 lakh each week. According to reports, both Donal Bisht and Vidhi Pandya are paid Rs 4 lakhs per week.
Umar Riaz, Asim Riaz's brother, is demanding Rs 3 lakhs per week to appear on the show. However, many participants, like Pratik Sehajpal, Nishant Bhat, Ieshaan Sehgaal, Meisha Iyer, and Vishal Kotian, are in the Rs 2 lakhs each week bracket. For a week, model Sahil Shroff is paid Rs 1.5 lakhs, while actor Simba Nagpal is paid Rs 1 lakh.
I'm not surprised by these figures, but I must admit that I'm envious of the Bigg Boss candidates. However, I enjoy seeing them on the show and am forward to see what kind of drama the housemates have planned for us. Keep an eye out!
