The story revolves around the new character Beth as she visits her sister Ellie and her three children. The family reunion turns bloody when Beth finds a book that releases demons in Ellie's apartment complex.

It was initially planned for an HBO Max debut, but it has been sensibly elevated to a theatrical release. This decision is wise because the genre has consistently found success in theatres, and it is deserving because it differs from so many other straight-to-streaming movies.
