Vikram Vedha, the action-packed thriller produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Reliance Entertainment in collaboration with Friday Filmworks and S. Sashikanth's YNOT Studios, has wrapped its first schedule in Abu Dhabi with Hrithik Roshan.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan began the second schedule of the film in Lucknow recently. The upcoming project is a Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name, 'Vikram Vedha.'
The film is a Tamil-language hit 'Vikram Vedha,' directed by writer-directors Pushkar and Gayatri and starring R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
The Hindi remake is being helmed by Pushkar-Gayathri and produced by Neeraj Pandey under his banner Friday Filmworks in association with Reliance Entertainment and Y Not Studios.
Talking about the film plot, it is a techno action thriller based on the Indian folktale "Vikram Aur Betaal," which tells a story of a tough cop who sets out to find and kill an equally tough gangster.
Hrithik Roshan is said to be playing a gangster in the film. The film was inspired by the ancient lore of Vikram-Betaal, in which a cunning gangster manages to elude capture by narrating a new story based on his own life every time a determined cop apprehends him.
Apart from, Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik, the movie also stars Radhika Apte in a significant role. The makers of Vikram Vedha earlier announced the release date of the film on September 30, 2022.
