Kangana Ranaut's film Thalaivii is all set for its release on September 10th. As the actress is on the verge to promote her upcoming film, she took to her Instagram handle and stated that at such a time when the closure of theaters have hit the entire film industry, her producers are not receiving the support that they acquire from the multiplex chains and the theatre owners.

The movie was schedule to hit the theaters but now the producers have decided to release the movie on OTT platforms. This decision has aggrieved multiple producers who are demanding a longer time between the film release on OTT platform and theatres.

Kangana claims that certain studios are proving difficult for them. “We made the money we needed to make the film, so it's a profit for us. However, cinemas and multiplex chains have refused to allow us to show the film. They have informed us that studios such as Yash Raj and others will not allow us to finish our film. “Theatres and multiplexes should abandon 'gangism' and 'groupism' and think of new ways to bring audiences back to the cinema halls,” Kangana stated.

Currently she is Chennai for the promotions of her upcoming biopic. The actress also paid her tribute at the J Jayalalithaa memorial at Marina Beach on Saturday.
