Karan Johar gives a glimpse from 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' set

On Saturday, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar released a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of his upcoming film, 'Rocky Aur RKi Prem Kahani,' which will mark his return to the director's chair.

Karan took to his Instagram account to share a photo of the film's crew working on the bustling set. It was an interior shoot for the scene they were working on. "#shootlife #rockyaurranikipremkahani," he captioned the shot.

Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy wrote the screenplay for 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,' which stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film will be released in 2022, according to Karan, who revealed it on July 6.

Alia could be seen setting the frame ablaze with her enticing saree looks and Ranveer spreading the spell with his debonair presence in a first-day shot BTS clip of the film published earlier. Manish Malhotra, a fashion designer, was also featured in the short video.

Karan's most recent film on the big screen was 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' which was released in 2016. Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Fawad Khan appeared in the film.

Following that, he was the editor of the OTT anthologies 'Lust Stories' (2018) and 'Ghost Stories' (2018). (2020). Karan also has 'Takht' in his filmography, in addition to 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.'

As Ranveer’s Singh family members, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan will be seen, where Shabana Azmi will be seen as Alia Bhatt’s family.

Aside from his directing projects, the filmmaker has a variety of production projects in the works. He will produce 'Sooryavanshi,' starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, as well as 'Brahmastra,' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
