As Dharma Productions celebrated 42 years on Saturday, filmmaker Karan Johar posted on Instagram to thank his fans and followers.
While sharing a glimpse of all the movies released over the years under Dharma Production, Karan Johar penned, "Stories that transcend boundaries, languages and more - only to bind everyone with the thread of emotion. As the years go by, this thread only grows stronger and I’m eternally grateful for that. Thank you for being part of our Dharma Family, thank you for making this journey a phenomenal one. See you at the movies? #42YearsOfDharma"
After his father's passing in 2004, his son Karan Johar took over the film production and distribution company that his father Yash Johar founded in 1979. It is based in Mumbai and primarily produces and distributes Hindi movies. 'Dostana', a 1980 movie directed by Raj Khosla and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Zeenat Aman, was the company's first production.

Karan Johar's production has a slew of films for its release namely - 'Govinda Naam Mera', 'Yodha', 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', 'Selfiee', and others. Meanwhile, the latest release 'Brahmastra', featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, is garnering significant collections at the box office.
