Diljit Dosanjh shares his stress-free life mantra, ‘Don’t Take Tension’ And Enjoy Life
If Diljit Dosanjh could sit down with you over a cup of tea and give you one piece of life advice, it seems he would keep it surprisingly simple “Don't take tension.” The singer-actor recently shared a candid video that once again offered a glimpse into his outlook on life. Sitting outdoors with a cup of tea, Diljit spoke about stress, negativity and the habit of worrying about what other people think.
There was no complicated life lesson or long explanation. Just Diljit, speaking directly to his fans in his familiar, easy-going manner and reminding them that life is too short to constantly carry other people's opinions and negativity.
Diljit Dosanjh Says, 'Don't Take Tension'
In his latest video, Diljit addressed people who bring unnecessary stress into one's life. “Don't take tension. Don't worry. Don't take tension. The one who gives you tension, cut him out of your life. There is no tension in this world. No one's opinion should matter to you,” he said. If someone continuously becomes a source of stress, his advice is straightforward create distance rather than allowing that negativity to occupy your mind.
And considering how much public attention Diljit himself receives, his statements offer an insight into the approach he says he follows in his own life.
Diljit's Answer To Negativity? Let Your Work Speak
Diljit has previously opened up about dealing with negative comments and opinions. In another video shared by his team, the singer encouraged people not to become distracted when others speak negatively about them. His philosophy is to keep moving and concentrate on the work in front of you.
“Your work is your answer. One day, your work itself will speak and you won't need to respond,” Diljit said. He also mentioned that he follows this mantra himself, choosing to focus on his work instead of getting sidetracked by what people are saying about him.
Diljit Dosanjh's Reminder: Be Your Own Friend
In another video, Diljit told his followers, “Be your own friend. You cannot deceive yourself; you know your strengths and weaknesses.” For him, understanding yourself appears to be an important part of staying grounded. Rather than constantly searching for approval from others, his advice is to know who you are and what you are capable of. He has also encouraged fans to avoid spending time with people who bring negativity into their lives.
Glimpse Into Diljit's Personal Routine
Diljit's approach to life is not only about what he says on social media. He has also previously spoken about making time for himself despite having a packed schedule. The singer has talked about keeping the first few hours of his morning for himself, with his routine including activities such as yoga, exercise, eating and simply sitting quietly. His interest in yoga and meditation-style quiet time also reflects the importance he places on creating personal space. For Diljit, starting the day away from the constant noise of phones and outside opinions can be a way of reconnecting with himself.
Diljit's Biggest Reminder: Enjoy Yourself
After telling his followers to distance themselves from people who bring stress, he added, “Enjoy yourself. And I don't know when we will meet again in heaven. Have fun bro.” He then signed off with his familiar greetings “Ram Ram Ji,” “Ram Ram Sir” and “Namaskar.” The video was shared by the social media account Team Diljit Global with the caption, “No tension. You never know when you’ll come back to this world again.”
