Auto driver wins Rs 25 crore lottery: An auto-rickshaw driver from Kerala is currently on cloud nine as he won Rs 25 crore in Lottery on Monday in the Onam Bumper offer.

Anoop, who is 30-year old and hails from Kerala, is the winner of the whopping amount. Interestingly, he received the winning amount a day after he received approval for a loan of Rs 3 lakh in order to travel to Malaysia to work as a chef.

Anoop also mentioned that it was difficult for him in the first place to believe that he has won a magnificent amount because he has been in the lottery for quite a long. Anoop said that he won only Rs 5000 in the past and therefore, he was surprised when he learned that he has won a Rs 25 crore lottery.

As per the reports, Anoop will receive Rs 15 crore 75 lakh after the deduction of income tax. In Kerala, the lottery business is one of the biggest revenue generators for the government, and this year 67 lakh Onam tickets were sold, each for Rs 500.
