On February 9th, the world witnessed the release of 'Lal Salaam,' a sports drama that tells the story of two aspiring players from Hindu and Muslim backgrounds. Superstar Rajinikanth graces the screen, surrounded by a talented ensemble cast directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

Despite the movie's low-key global release, anticipation is building for its arrival on OTT platforms. The film explores the bonds between Hindus and Muslims, delivering a powerful message, although some parts of the narrative are considered a bit shaky. Notably, the climax is praised for its well-thought-out execution.

Rajinikanth takes on the role of Moideen Bhai, alongside Vishnu Vishal as Thirunavukarasu and Vikranth as Shamsuddin, Moideen's son. The star-studded cast also includes Jeevitha, Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, Dhanya Balakrishna, Thangadurai, Poster Nandakumar, Adithya Menon, Pondy Ravi, and Amit Tiwari. Cricket legend Kapil Dev makes a strong cameo appearance.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth directs the film based on the story by Vishnu Rangasamy, who also collaborated on the screenplay. The project is funded by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions, with AR Rahman creating the captivating background score and music. B Pravin Baaskar and Vishnu Rangasamy serve as the editor and cinematographer, respectively, for "Lal Salaam." Red Giant Movies handles distribution throughout Tamil Nadu.

While not officially confirmed, reports are suggesting that Netflix has acquired the digital rights to the film. It is expected to be available on the OTT platform 60 days after its theatrical release. Additionally, Sun Network's Gemini channel has secured the satellite rights for the film, with Sun TV acquiring the rights for the Tamil version.

Adding to the excitement, the film features an extended cameo by Superstar Rajinikanth and a pivotal role played by legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, making "Lal Salaam" a must-watch for fans of sports dramas and heartwarming stories of friendship across communities.
