The much-anticipated sequel, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, is slated for release on August 9, exclusively on Netflix.
On Monday, Netflix India announced the exciting news by sharing a teaser video featuring the film's lead actors, Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Sunny Kaushal. The post read, "9 August ki Haseen shaam, Dillruba ke naam. Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is out on 9 August, only on Netflix," suggesting that the sequel will pick up directly from where the original film left off.
Back in February, the makers of the thriller unveiled the film's official teaser. Netflix took to Instagram to share the teaser, captioning it, "Rani ki kahaani me pyaar aur pagalpan, dono abhi baaki hain. Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is coming soon, only on Netflix!"
The short teaser offers a glimpse into the sequel's world, with the iconic song 'Ek Haseena Thi' from the cult classic film Karz playing in the background.
In addition to the returning cast, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba features Jimmy Shergill in a lead role.
The original film, Haseen Dilruba, premiered on Netflix in July 2021 and received positive reviews from audiences. It starred Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles.
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba will premiere on Netflix on August 9, promising more twists and thrilling moments.
