The director of Mathagam is Prasath Murugesan, who is best known for the biopic series "Queen" and the rural horror movie "Kidaari." The series' first look poster and teaser were released today by the creators. In the powerful voiceover provided by veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar, the 74-second teaser features Atharvaa as cop Ashwath Rathnakumar and Manikandan as a murderer.

In addition to Atharvaa and Manikandan, Mathagam will also have a large number of additional actors, such as Nikhila Vimal, Gautham Menon, Dilnaz Irani, Ilavarasu, DD (Dhivyadarshini), Vadivukarasi, Aruvi Thirunavukkarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Sarath Ravi, Rishikanth, and Murali Abbas. Screen Scene Media Entertainment is in charge of the production of the show.

A potential crime thriller is suggested by the teaser's captivating images and evocative soundtrack. Darbuka Siva wrote the music, with Edwin Sakay serving as the director of photography, Praveen Antony as the editor, Dhilip Subbarayan as the stunt coordinator, and Suresh Kallery as the art director.

The series' maker, Prasath Murugesan, says of it: "Mathagam showcases a compelling sequence of fascinating occurrences that take place over the course of a 30-hour period. As a director, I found it difficult to depict a premeditated siege that occurs one night and the actions done to thwart it. I really hope the audience has a great time with this."
