'Tarla' trailer out; Piyush Gupta is all set to bring Huma Qureshi in a new avatar on OTT

After a long gap from the television screen Huma Qureshi is setting her comeback through her new OTT movie 'Tarla.' The official trailer of the upcoming movie 'Tarla' was released on Friday, June 23, 2023. Earlier a month ago, the teaser was released twhich gave a slight glimpse on the movie. Meanwhile, the movie was made on the life of the famous Indian chef Tarla Dalal who was also a food journalists - writer, cookbook author and host of cooking shows.

Huma shares the trailer

Film lead, Huma Qureshi has taken over her Instagram handle on Friday to share the 'Tarla' trailer. While in her caption she wrote, "It's here! Life mein kuch karne ki khaas recipe aap bhi note kar lijiye! Trailer out now!". To her post, fans have reacted their eagerness and commented their heart out to show their anticipation for 'Tarla' to come to the Indian households. One user wrote, "I can't wait to watch this!! looks so good", a second user quoted, "You really rock Huma as always being  such a wonderful actor performing Tarlaji's character so beautifully as watched the trailer and eagerly waiting for."

About the movie

Meanwhile, Tarla is based on Huma's eponymous role of a famous chef who faces confusion in life searching her dream and hobbies. A passionate woman who initially faces difficulties searching her passion becomes a professional chef eventually. From a non-professional cook to a professional chef the movie ensembles late Tarla Dalal's journey. From starting her cooking classes to hosting her own television shows. The movie is set to release on July 7, 2023 on OTT platform ZEE 5.

Directed by Piyush Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari. In an recent interview Huma confessed about her memories of the chef during her childhood and nodded, " I also clearly remember the time when I helped mom make Tarla's homemade mango nice cream. This role has taken me back to those sweet childhood memories and i am very thankful to Ronnie, Ashwiny and Nitesh for having faith in me to play this awe-inspiring character."
