Bollywood is once again beginning to suffer the repercussions of the re-emergence of the coronavirus. With the rise in COVID-19 cases, once again the state government has announced to shut the movie theatres.
As a result of this, Bollywood filmmakers are sharing official statements to delay the film's release date. The release of Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' was delayed first, and then RRR. Now, Akshay Kumar's starrer 'Prithviraj,' has also been postponed.
The movie was supposed to come out on January 21, 2022, however, it was pushed back. As per the reports, Prithviraj is one of the most awaited films which can draw a lot of audience to the movie theaters and in such a difficult situation, it would be wrong to gather huge public. Thus, the makers have decided to shift the release date.
The film's release has been delayed for the time being, but no new date has been set. The film's producer, Yashraj Films, made this decision after careful consideration of the circumstances.
The film is being helmed by Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. The movie also marks the Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar debut in Bollywood. The movie also stars Sonu Sood who will be seen in a pivotal role.
