Jaggi began his career with short films and worked in feature films afterwards. Simultaneously, Anmol Sidhu, the film's director, stated that the film is about a portion of Punjab that is extremely dear to him. In my own life, I've witnessed a few such instances, which I've incorporated in this film. I've lived in the village for the majority of my life, so I understand the anguish that sexual assault victims go through. This is something I've always wanted to do.
