Shershaah: Sidharth Malhotra writes 'Yeh Dil Mange More' as film completes 1 year

'Shershaah' completes 1 year: It has been one year since 'Shershaah' was released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie featured Sidharth Malhotra as Kargil War hero 'Captain Vikram Batra'. The film also included Kiara Advani and several others in the key role. On August 12, Sidharth Malhotra took to his social media to share a heartfelt message on the completion of one year of 'Shershaah'.

For the unversed, the film is based on 'Captain Vikram Batra', one of the war heroes of the Kargil War.

While sharing a video clip of a conversation with Captain Vikram Batra's brother Vishal Batra, Sidharth Malhotra wrote, "One film, one year, one story that inspired us all! Your love, support & appreciation for this film has said enough, all I would like to add is, #1YearOfShershaah aur “yeh dil maange more!”🇮🇳🙏🏼"

On the other hand, Karan Johar under whom the film was produced wrote, "Very rarely do you come across films that continue to give unabashed love even after a year…#Shershaah undoubtedly is one of them. The impact that resonated across the globe and the hearts that still beat with it…we are grateful and PROUD to have told this story for you all. Yeh dil maange more🇮🇳 #1YearOfShershaah"

The movie is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who fought in the Kargil War and was given the Param Vir Chakra medal. Captain Vikram Batra is portrayed in the movie by Sidharth Malhotra, while Vikram Batra's fiancée Dimple Cheema is portrayed by Kiara Advani.

The film was helmed by Vishu Vardhan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
