Sidhu Moose Wala's death: Following the unfortunate death of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, the entire nation was left numb and devastated. Now, Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh is said to have received similar death threats.
Mankirt Aulakh, 31, has requested an increase in his security cover from the Punjab police, citing a threat to his life, according to sources.
According to sources, Mankirat Aulakh received threats last month from the Davinder Bambiha gang, a competitor of the Lawrence Bishnoi group, which claimed responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala.
Following threats from the Davinder Bambiha gang, Aulakh has requested that Punjab Police increase his security.
On Sunday, May 29, unidentified assailants shot and killed Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moose Wala in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.
Goldy Brar, a criminal from Canada, claimed responsibility for Moose Wala's death. In a Facebook post, Brar, who has ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed that he killed Moose Wala to avenge the killing of criminal Vicky Middukhera.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot at least 30 times with an automatic assault weapon while driving his SUV in Punjab's Mansa region, just a day after his security cover was reduced by the state government.
Likewise, Lawrence Bishnoi, 31, has been detained at the Bharatpur jail in Rajasthan since 2017. Bishnoi has been charged with a variety of offenses, including attempted murder, trespassing, robbery, and assault. Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinder Singh, on the other hand, is a close confidant of Lawrence Bishnoi.
