Sushant Singh Rajput Death: In a major development in the drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in its draft charges claimed that Rhea Chakraborty had received multiple deliveries of ganja from the co-accused, including her brother Showik, and handed it over to the late actor.
Notably, the NCB had filed the draft charges last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused. The details of the draft charges were made available on Tuesday.
According to draft charges, the accused became a part of a criminal conspiracy between March 2020 and December 2020 with each other or in groups to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in “high society and Bollywood”.
As per the report, the draft charges also stated that the accused had backed the drug trafficking and consumed drugs like ganja, charas, cocaine, and other narcotic drugs without even a valid licence, permit or authorization.
They have been charged under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. These include sections 27 and 27 A, 28, and 29, as per the draft charges.
The draft charges also stated that “accused number 10 Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput”.
NCB has been investigating the drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death in which Rhea Kapoor was allegedly arrested as well. Later, she was released on a bail.
